What is CUET?
The Common University Entrance Test (Previously known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test or CUCET) or CUET is an annual entrance examination conducted for admissions into UG, PG, and Research Programs of Central Universities in India.
Aspirants have to qualify for this examination to pursue their preferred courses in the Central Universities across India. All the Central Universities will collectively conduct CUET.
Courses offered at the Central Universities can also be pursued at some of the best colleges in Bangalore. These colleges have proven their mettle in the respective fields and have produced some of the best professionals.
Aspirants can seek admissions in Bangalore by checking out the respective admission process of the colleges. Every year around 10,000 aspirants appear for the CUET Examination.
CUET exam will be held on March 11th to March 28th, 2024.

CUET Registration:
Candidates can register for the exam by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Aspirants should click on the link “Click here for New Registration.”
Step 3: They need to fill up the following details for the Registration Process:
- An Active Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Name of the Candidate
- Password
- Date of Birth
- Program Applied
Step 4: Aspirants should fill the captcha and hit on the “Save and Proceed” tab. They will receive their Unique ID and Password on their registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
How to fill up the CUET Application Form?
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Aspirants should Log in using their Unique ID and Password.
Step 3: Aspirants need to fill up the following personal details in the CUET Application Form:
- Gender
- Nationality
- Category
- Aadhar Number
- Religion
- Father’s/ Guardian Name
- Father’s/ Guardian Mobile Number
- Father’s/ Guardian Profession
- Father’s/ Guardian Annual Income
- Employment Status
Step 4: Aspirants should fill up the following details for communication:
- Permanent Address
- Pincode
- State
Step 5: Aspirants should fill up their relevant educational details
Step 6: Aspirants need to fill up their preferred Test Centres.

CUET Correction Window:
CUET’s conducting body allows aspirants to correct the information provided to them in the application form. To do the corrections, aspirants need to proceed in the following manner:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Aspirants should Log in using their Unique ID and Password.
Step 3: Aspirants need to click on the Edit Option.
Step 4: Changes can be made to the following information only:
- Aspirant’s Address
- Gender
- Programs Selected
- State
- City
- Guardian’s Name
- Photograph
- Signature
- University or Board’s Name
- Nationality
- Year of Passing of the Relevant Courses
Step 5: Aspirants should check the information that has been provided by them and then proceed to submit the form.
The application window is usually open for 2 days, within which the aspirants have to rectify any of the information as per their choice. Aspirants should note that the correction window opens only once. Hence, they should rectify all the mistakes and make the final submission of the form.
CUET Application Form Status:
Aspirants who have registered for the CUET Application Form shall receive the application status on their registered Email ID and Mobile Number. They will be able to check the status after the successful payment of the fees.
Rejection of CUET Application Form:
The Application Form can be rejected under various conditions. Aspirants should update themselves with these conditions to avoid the rejection of their application form.
Below are those conditions:
- Aspirants should strictly meet the CUET eligibility criteria. Hence, they should check the criteria for the program before applying for it.
- If the aspirant’s signature or photograph is unclear, then their application shall be rejected.
- If the authorities find out that the details mentioned in the CUET Application form are wrong, then the application form stands rejected.

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned preparation tips for CUET:
- Good Grasp of the CUET Syllabus:
Candidates should have a proper idea of the CUET syllabus to chalk out a proper preparation plan. In addition to this, it shall help in gathering the required resources for the examination.
- Gather the right CUET Resources:
Aspirants should gather credible resources and e-resources for their preparation process. It shall help them to go about their plans smoothly. In addition to this, they should also involve themselves in note-making as that would help to grasp the topics in a better manner. Notes shall also help during the revision process.
- Schedule your Preparation Right:
As mentioned above, CUET requires aspirants to follow a strict preparation schedule. A schedule helps aspirants to maintain a flow in their preparation process. The schedule should be dedicated to all the topics equally while emphasizing the weaker topics.

CUET Admit Card:
Candidates can download the CUET admit card by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Click on the section that reads “Download Admit Card.”
Step 3:Log in with your Unique ID and Date of Birth.
Step 4: The CUET Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Check whether all the details on the Admit Card are correct or not.
Step 6: Download the Admit Card onto an A4 size paper and ensure that the print is of the highest quality.
Candidates have to carry a Government-issued ID card, along with their Admit Card, to the exam centres.
CUET Answer Key:
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download the CUET answer key:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Click on the “CUET Answer Key” link.
Step 3: Enter the Unique ID and Date of Birth.
Step 4: The PDF format of the CUET Answer Key will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Aspirants can download the PDF and take a printout.
Raising Objections against the Answer Key:
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download the answer key:
Step 1: Candidates have to download the Answer Key from the official website.
Step 2: Fill up the objection form by mentioning the particular question and answer.
Step 3: Aspirants have to attach the Answer Key and send it on the given Official Email ID.
Step 4: Attach a Documentary Proof to the Email that shall determine the validity of the Grievance.
The examination authorities verify the authenticity of the objection and take their actions accordingly, and shall release the final CUET Answer Key along with the CUET Result within a few weeks.
CUET Results:
Candidates can check out their CUET results by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Click on the tab that reads “Login to view Scorecard.”
Step 3: Login using Roll Number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Click on “Login.”
Step 5: The scorecard will be displayed along with the aspirant’s qualifying status and rank.
Step 6: Candidates have to download and take a printout of the CUET Scorecard and save it for further processes.
CUET Cutoff:
All the respective Central Universities shall release their own set of cut-offs for the different courses that they offer. Central Universities release the cutoff in terms of Marks or Percentile.
CUET cutoff is released along with the CUET Merit List. The merit list shall contain the name of the students who will be granted admission to their preferred courses.

CUET Cutoff depends on the following factors:

CUET Counselling:
All the participating Central Universities shall start their CUET counselling process after the CUET results are released. Students whose names are mentioned in the Merit List are invited to the counselling process.
Eligible aspirants can apply for the counselling process through the below-mentioned methods:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET.
Step 2: Click on the tab that reads “Register for CUET Counselling Process.”
Step 3: Login using your CUET Unique ID and Password.
Step 4: Click on “Login.”
Step 5: Aspirants will be able to choose the preferred course and college preference.
Aspirants have to report to the respective colleges for the counselling process before the stipulated date and time.
