What is NEET UG?
NEET UG is the annual entrance exam for medical aspirants in India. Candidates can seek admission in various medical courses by taking this exam.

Every year, close to 16 lakh medical aspirants appear for the NEET UG entrance exam. It is considered one of the most challenging medical entrance exams in India.

Candidates should meet the following eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2024:
- Candidates must complete their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
- General candidates have to score a minimum of 50% in their 12th standard final examination. SC and ST students have to score 45%, and OBC students have to score 40%.
- Candidates with the following nationalities can apply for the NEET UG Entrance Exam:

- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
- Persons of Indian Origin and Foreign Nationals

How to fill up the NEET UG 2024 Application Form?

Step 2: Under the “Student” section, candidates have to click on “National Eligibility cum Entrance Test”.
Step 3: Candidates have to click on “Fill Application Form”.
Step 4: They have to read the instructions check the box towards the end of the page and then click on “Proceed to Apply for NEET UG 2024“.

NTA NEET UG Preparation Tips 2024:
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned NEET UG preparation tips during their preparation process:
- Be Aware of the TRIO:
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are counted among the toughest subjects. Candidates need to have a strategic plan for each of the topics under them.
- Have a NEAT idea of the important factors:
Candidates should have a NEAT idea of the NEET UG Syllabus and NEET UG Exam Pattern. This will help them strategize for the exams better.
- Revision and Note-making: Play the 2 Cards Perfectly:
Candidates should revise the topics regularly. They should divide the topics into tough and easy topics and focus on them accordingly.

Step 3: Candidates have to click on “Fill Application Form”.
Step 4: They have to read the instructions and check the box towards the end of the page and then click on “Proceed to Apply for NEET UG 2024”.
Step 5: Candidates have to log in using their User ID and Password.
Step 6: They have to click on the link for “NEET UG Admit Card“
Step 7: Candidates can download the admit card for further processes.
Important Instructions to be followed:
- Candidates must carry a coloured printout of the NEET UG Admit Card, passport-size photograph, and a Government approved ID card to the exam centre.
- They must affix their passport-size photograph in the space provided. It must be similar to the one that was submitted during the application process.
- Candidates must get their Admit Card signed by their parents.
NEET UG Answer key:
NTA shall release the official answer key after a few weeks of conducting the NEET UG exam. Candidates can download their answer key through the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA.
Step 2: Click on the link for NEET UG 2024 Answer Key.
Step 3: Login to view the answer key.
Candidates can also challenge the answer key. They can click on the preferred question and select the answer, which they think is correct with the correct justification. The required fee needs to be paid for challenging the answer key.
NEET UG Result 2024:
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download NEET UG Result 2024:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA.
Step 2: Under the “Student” section, candidates have to click on “National Eligibility cum Entrance Test”.
Step 3: Candidates have to click on “Fill Application Form”.
Step 4: They have to read the instructions and check the box towards the end of the page and then click on “Proceed to Apply for NEET UG 2024”.
Step 5: Candidates have to log in using their User ID and Password.
Step 6: They have to click on the link for “NEET UG Result”
Step 7: Candidates can view their scorecard and download it.
NEET UG Cutoff 2024:
NTA shall release the NEET UG cut off after the declaration of the results. The cutoff is divided according to All India Quota Seats and State Quota Seats for all colleges.
Apart from that, candidates have to clear the basic cut off criteria for the counselling process:

NEET UG cutoff is decided based on the following factors:
- Number of candidates appearing for the exam.
- Difficulty level of the question paper.
- The total number of seats available in all the participating colleges.
- Previous years cut off marks.
- Overall performance of the candidates.
NEET UG Counselling Registration 2024:
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) shall conduct the counselling process for the 15% All Indian Quota Seats under NEET UG 2024.
The respective state counselling committee will conduct the counselling process for the 85% State Quota Seats.
MCC NEET UG Counselling process will be conducted for the following seats:
- Employees’ State Insurance Act (ESIC) Medical Colleges
- Armed Force Medical Services (AFMS) Medical Colleges
- Deemed and Central Medical Universities
- Private Medical Institutes
Candidates have to register for the NEET UG counselling process on the official website of the respective counselling committee. They have to visit the respective official website and create a login to fill up the application form for NEET Counselling.
